This is the first day of Lead The Way's four day learner therapy dog course. The theory and practical components are completed fully online. *Please note this single day does not certify your dog to be a therapy dog.*

Learner Therapy Dog Course - Day One

The learner therapy dog course is suitable to begin once your puppy has reached 12 weeks of age. This course is designed to accommodate puppies and adult dogs learning. By purchasing this day you are buying the FIRST day practical component and relevant theory. Online theory will need to be completed prior to the practical day. The practical day will be completed live online with Lead The Way training instructors. By the end of the FULL four day learner therapy dog course your dog can be assessed to determine if they are ready to start planned socialisation in the workplace*. *Interstate candidates will need to either attend the final day in person (Melbourne, Victoria) for learner dog assessment or additionally purchase the remote learner therapy dog assessment.

Pre-requisite: - Visit Lead The Ways website (www.leadthewayinstitute.com.au) to: 

1/ Read the terms and conditions for this course. 

2/ Ensure your dog meets the suitability requirements for therapy dog temperament.
